Homeschool Highschool Podcast Episode 25: Literature for Bookworms or Not

Every teen must have literature in their Language Arts credit in order to graduate. For some homeschool highschoolers this is as easy as falling off a stack of books!

Some teens are bookworms, some are not.

In fact, some homeschooling moms are bookworms and some are not.

So how do you adjust, adapt and individualize homeschool highschool literature for bookworms…or not?

Bookworms will love Literature at high school level. They can thrive on delving into ONE topic and spending the entire school year there. They will enjoy 7Sisters’ fun, level-able Literature Guides.

  • American Literature
  • British Literature
  • World Literature
  • CS Lewis Studies (or other authors)
  • Great Christian Writers

Some homeschool high schoolers are NOT bookworms. That’s okay. God made everyone to have different interests. However, everyone needs to be able to read material that is good for their growth, critical thinking and developing skills or interests.

Many non-bookworm teens enjoy:

  • Cinema Studies for Literature Learning (7Sisters)
  • Magazines or Journals about their interests
  • Audio books
  • Mix and Match topics for Literature (7Sisters)
